We Came Together, and It Counted
Now let's keep working towards a New York with more than enough for everyone
When we announced the launch of Abundance New York in June, we shared our fundamental premise: “To amass and deploy political power, we must come together.”
Six months in, you’ve made it happen. Our community is undeniable and growing—and the political class is paying attention.
Candidates from city council to mayor are pursuing our support. Our community members are taking power themselves. We’re supercharging the advocacy that’s getting our policies across the finish line. The discourse around local politics and policy is shifting our way.

The foundation we’ve built together in just six months is awe-inspiring, and it’s thanks to you.
You are the 1,400 New Yorkers reading and sharing this content, demanding an end to status quo politics.
You are the 550 members of this community doing even more to use your power, and coming together at happy hours, constituent meetings, educational events, and trainings.
You are the 200 advocates supercharging pro-abundance policy, 120 committed Community Board applicants, and 75 present and future candidates for office.
You are the movement being covered in the local press, referenced in national discourse, and shaping the conversation about the future of policy and politics in New York.
Next year, we’ll have the chance to finally turn the corner away from an outdated politics of fighting over scraps and towards a New York with more than enough for everyone.
We can elect an abundance-minded mayor, comptroller, borough presidents, and city council.
We can push for more laws to increase housing affordability, high-quality transit, people-first streets, and a climate-proofed future.
We can launch a new generation of political leaders, empower more renters and riders to shape policy-making, and break the chokehold of the status quo over political discourse.
With an abundance of good wishes for the new year,
Catherine, Ryder, and Thomas
P.S. Mark your calendars and RSVP for our January happy hour on Wed., 1/15!
